Despite the softening, the Global 5000 remains one of the strongest value propositions in the large-cabin segment, particularly when compared with newer ultra-long-range aircraft that can cost $50–80 million.

Cockpit displays and radar are starting to show their age, but there are upgrades available to avoid obsolescence issues. Cabin management, entertainment and Internet upgrades are available and can vary in cost and scope.
Many early Global 5000 aircraft are now approaching interior and paint refurbishment cycles. Aircraft with recently completed refurbishments often command a meaningful premium.
