Duncan Aviation was recently named the only authorized non-OEM service provider for repair, service and modification of Rockwell Collins TDR-94 and TDR-94D transponders. The TDR-94D transponder is a solid-state, crystal-controlled receiver/transmitter specifically designed for business jets with TCAS II equipment. The units can be upgraded and when professionally installed and certified will meet the upcoming ADS-B mandate for 2020.
This exclusive agreement with Rockwell Collins allows us to repair and service transponders with the Rockwell Collins part numbers of 622-9352-002 through -008; -108; -207; -308-311; -408-411; -500-501 and 622-9210-002 through -008; -108; -207; -308-311; -408-411; -500-501.
We are also able to modify earlier transponders to the -500-501 series, which will meet the ADS-B mandate when properly installed and certified.
This authorization is for transponders from aircraft in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
With the addition of these new capabilities, we are able to support operators throughout the entire modification process of these units from component modification to system installation and certification.
Because downtime is important, we have put steps in place to turn these transponders in a matter of days when they are sent to the Duncan Aviation avionics/instruments shop for upgrade. With advanced communication and scheduling, we will provide a quote, pre-order parts and be ready when the units arrive.
