Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce its Satellite facility in St. Paul, Minn., recently installed its third—the company’s fifth--Garmin G5000 integrated flight deck in a customer’s Citation Excel aircraft. After removing the entire cockpit, the crew in St. Paul installed the G5000, which includes bright, high-resolution, color displays, touchscreen interfaces with audible feedback, Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems, GPS, Synthetic Vision System (SVS), and real-time weather, chart, traffic, and terrain information on the large moving maps that provide pilots with a great deal of situational awareness.

Duncan Aviation has developed Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and installation packages for the Aviation Clean Air (ACA) ionization system for several aircraft. In late 2020 and continuing through 2021, Duncan Aviation developed STCs for Bombardier Global, Bombardier Challenger 300/350, Dassault Falcon 7X, and Dassault Falcon 2000/2000EX aircraft, with optional installation packages that include everything necessary for installing the ACA Ionizer system.

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that three of its Satellite facilities are now offering tool calibration services for customers. The tool kits include the standards used to calibrate torque wrenches, multimeters, and crimpers. The kits will rotate shops several times a year, and as more technicians throughout the Duncan Aviation Satellite network are trained, more Satellite facilities will offer the tool-calibration service.

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce its Engineering & Certification Services recently amended two Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). The first STC (ST01856WI) is for the Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System (FMS) and the second STC (ST01858WI) is for Future Air Navigation System (FANS). These STC amendments will allow owner/operators of Embraer (Yaborã Indústria Aeronáutica) EMB-135BJ aircraft to upgrade their existing NZ-2010 FMS from version 6.1 to version 6.1.1 and certify the Mode V Glidepath deviation alerting and annunciation for precision approaches.
