Duncan Aviation Creates STC Switch Panels For Low Serial CL-300s

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce it has created a Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) part for the bezel surrounding the odd-shaped cutout left when replacing the obsolete Audio International switch panel. In the past, upgrading to a newer Collins Aerospace Venue™ Cabin Management System (CMS) required making modifications to the drinkrails because of that odd, dog-ear-shaped cutout, which added to the expense of the replacement.

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce it has added two members to its Continuous Improvement (CI) team: Nathan Hansen joined the team at the company’s facility in Provo, Utah, and Justin Morgan joined the team at the facility in Battle Creek, Michigan. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Manager Erin Hart has been soliciting ideas to help eliminate waste, increase efficiency, maintain safety, and reduce costs at the Duncan Aviation facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, since October 2015.

Duncan Aviation Teams With Honeywell Aerospace, Turbojet Engineering & Beck’s Hybrid On STC

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that its Engineering/Certification and Avionics Installation teams in Battle Creek, Michigan, recently worked with Honeywell Aerospace, Turbojet Engineering, and Beck’s Hybrid to develop a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to add Synthetic Vision System (SVS) to a Honeywell flight deck on a Learjet 45 series aircraft. The Honeywell flight deck had been previously installed in the customer’s aircraft, and the cooperative effort involved upgrading the system and installing the SVS component.

Duncan Aviation Completes STCs for Legacy 600

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce its Engineering & Certification Services recently amended two Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). The first STC (ST01856WI) is for the Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System (FMS) and the second STC (ST01858WI) is for Future Air Navigation System (FANS). These STC amendments will allow owner/operators of Embraer (Yaborã Indústria Aeronáutica) EMB-135BJ aircraft to upgrade their existing NZ-2010 FMS from version 6.1 to version 6.1.1 and certify the Mode V Glidepath deviation alerting and annunciation for precision approaches.
