Duncan Aviation Customers Pleased With Gogo’s Satellite-based Galileo System

LINCOLN, NEB. — Over the last several years, Duncan Aviation’s customers have been embracing the nearly global coverage for in-flight connectivity made possible by satellite-based systems. Recent upgrades to these systems have increased available speed and coverage, making it attractive to Duncan Aviation’s customers whether they travel domestically or worldwide.

Gogo, a decades’ long provider of terrestrial-based and GEO satellite in-flight connectivity systems, is now offering a LEO satellite-based system via the Eutelsat OneWeb network—the Gogo Galileo HDX/FDX. For just as many years, Duncan Aviation’s skilled technicians at all three of the company’s main facilities and more than two dozen Satellite shops have installed hundreds of Gogo connectivity systems for our customers.

One of our customers, Director of Aviation Alfredo Fagel, manages a CL605. Duncan Aviation’s facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, recently installed the Gogo Galileo in the CL605. Fagel has been extremely pleased with the performance of the Gogo system.

Owner/operators of US-based aircraft can rest easy knowing all of these STCs have FAA approval, and for our non-US-based customers, several have European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), and the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) approval or are awaiting those approvals.

Using the Eutelsat One Web’s enterprise-grade Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite network, Gogo Galileo HDX will deliver low variability and consistent performance on routes around the world. The HDX delivers fast, low-latency connections, and because of its compact design, it is often a relatively quick upgrade if your aircraft is already equipped with any Gogo AVANCE system (L3, L5, LX5, and SCS). However, the actual downtime will depend on the equipment and configuration currently in the aircraft.
