During the general visual inspection of the high-current feeder wires, Duncan Aviation technicians noted the use of factory-installed Adel clamps with black rubber inserts. These rubber inserts stain the outer sheath of the wire, making it appear overheated or burned. Usually, the rubber on the clamp causes the discoloration, but to be safe, techs must inspect the wires to make sure they haven't overheated or shorted.
