After A Little April Fool’s Joke, FAA Reiterates ADS-B Deadline Firm

Duncan Aviation laughed along with most of the rest of the business aviation industry on Sunday when an online industry news resource released information that the deadline for the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandate had been extended until 2040. Before the laughter died out, the FAA reiterated that the agency’s deadline will not change, saying, “We have a sense of humor, too, but an April Fool’s joke that the FAA is extending the ADS-B deadline is just that.”

CJ3 Pro Line Fusion® Upgrades Underway at Duncan Aviation Locations in Nebraska, Michigan and Utah

A year after Duncan Aviation delivered the first Citation CJ3 aircraft equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion® integrated avionics upgrade, the company has seen great demand and is spooling up additional installation locations to make the upgrade even more convenient for customers. The first eight aircraft were completed at Duncan Aviation’s facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. In April, Pro Line Fusion installations will also be in work at Duncan Aviation’s Battle Creek, Michigan, and Provo, Utah, locations. Duncan Aviation has 11 CJ3 upgrades completed or in work with a total of 25 commitments.

Duncan Aviation Develops Second STC For AVANCE L5 System

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that it has completed its second Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Gogo AVANCE L5 system. Designed for the Dassault Falcon 2000 and variants of the airframe, this STC covers the Wi-Fi certification and full equipment and antenna installation required to provide in-flight connectivity to the Gogo Biz® 4G network.

Duncan Aviation has Brought Hundreds of Aircraft into ADS-B Compliance

Duncan Aviation has worked tirelessly to get the word out about the FAA’s looming deadline for its Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandate. By midnight on December 31, 2019, business aircraft that intend to fly in airspace in the United States will have to have ADS-B. Duncan Aviation’s Satellite Facilities in Van Nuys and Scottsdale Earn Mexican Certifications

Two additional Duncan Aviation satellite avionics shops recently received certification from Mexico’s Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), which is the civil aviation authority for Mexico. This will allow the Duncan Aviation shops in Van Nuys, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona, to expand their avionics services for customers with aircraft based in Mexico.
