The pressure regulator inside the completions water pallet on the Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft* has become obsolete. If this filter fails the six-month inspection, an alternate replacement part will need to be installed.
Bombardier offers two options for replacement via SRPSA (Service Request for Product Support Action).
Option 1: This method uses the current production part number, which has an integrated filter on the air regulator. The existing aluminum body air filter is replaced with a new fabricated stainless steel tube. This system is less prone to corrosion. However, the installation requires access below the cabin floor and may not be convenient during a six-month inspection.
Option 2: This method retains the existing air filter and only replaces the air regulator. This regulator must be procured locally and is subject to market availability. A new fabricated stainless steel tube is also required.
Duncan Aviation is able to locate all necessary parts, as well as fabricate and replace the required stainless steel tube.
