At Duncan Aviation, we understand the importance of predictability in engine maintenance planning. Most inspection tasks on the Honeywell AS907 (HTF7000) are straightforward, offering consistent turn times and cost expectations.
However, it's important to note that the Borescope inspections of turbine and compressor components can reveal issues that may extend downtime and increase costs, especially in engines that have not incorporated SB (Service Bulletin) 72-9082 and AS907-72-9076.
Engines without this SB are significantly more likely to require in-depth disassembly due to discrepancies. Planning ahead for this potential can help keep your operations running smoothly.
These are the specific inspections that require the additional attention and planning.
These tasks are the Borescope requirements of the hot section. Most commonly due at 4800 hours*
*Engines that are not in compliance with AS907-72-9001 R2, AS907-72-9044 R4, AS907-72-9048 R0, AS907-73-9004 R1, and AS907-76-9021 R1 will be on the 4000-hour Hot Section Borescope and 8,000-hour Compressor Borescope intervals.

Engines that are still on the shorter intervals. The SB requirements to extend the longer intervals can be performed on wing in a couple of days. AS907-72-9001 Compliance is best addressed during Start Fuel Nozzle Replacement. The exception to this is the AS907-1-1A (HTF7000), which is pre-SB AS907-72-9044. This is a significant amount of work. There are very few pre-SB AS907-72-9044 engines remaining.
