Now that the Gogo 5G network is complete, Gogo is focusing on updating customers’ service and experiences on their licensed 3G/4G network by upgrading to AVANCE L3 or AVANCE L5 connectivity platforms, the latest LTE network technology. Legacy ATG 5000, ATG 4000, ATG 2000, and ATG 1000 equipment will not connect to the LTE technology and will not be supported beyond May 2026.
Without access to a network, those aircraft will no longer have any in-flight connectivity.
If you're unsure whether your aircraft has the legacy ATG system onboard. Gogo has developed this handy ATG Lookup Tool to find out. Enter your tail number. If the box turns green, you have legacy hardware, and it’s time to upgrade.
Gogo AVANCE L3/L5 equipment is available today and will work on both the current and future 3G/4G networks. By upgrading, you will experience a 40% performance boost in May 2026 with the new LTE network.
Duncan Aviation has developed an FAA-approved STC to install the AVANCE L5 system with MB13 antennas on the Cessna Citation Latitude model 680A aircraft. Additionally, the company has exclusive access to a similar STC developed for the Learjet 45/75 aircraft. These STCs remove and replace the aircraft’s existing ATG system, offering a future-ready solution for cabin connectivity.
These STCs can be amended in the future to support upgrades to the LX5 system, enabling 5G features like live TV, video calls, and full-cabin streaming. With the LX5 expected in late 2025, Latitude and Learjet 45/75 operators who install the L5 and MB13 antennas now will be prepared for a smooth transition to 5G connectivity, and may also qualify for Gogo rebates by upgrading early.
Gogo is offering generous rebates to customers who upgrade from its Legacy ATG systems to the following systems before the end of 2025:
NOTE: Additional $30K rebate from Gogo if AVANCE L5 and MB13s are installed before the end of Oct 2025 (i.e., before 5G entry into service)
Duncan Aviation has developed STCs and installation packages for the following business aircraft models: Gulfstream G200, G-IV, IV-X, CL600 Series, CL300/CL350, Hawker 800XP, Falcon 2000/2000EX/900/900EX, GLEX, GLEX XRS, GL6000, GL5000, Citation X, Latitude, and Sovereign.
If you don't have the time or budget to upgrade before the shutdown, Gogo has developed the C1 box as a transitional solution. It is designed to bridge the gap until you are ready to upgrade to the AVANCE platforms. The C1 box ensures you will maintain your current connectivity and coverage areas, including the contiguous US and portions of Canada and Alaska.
Downtime for installation is minimal, as the C1 is a form-fit box swap that reuses the omnidirectional antennas, tray, wires, cables, connectors, and the cabin telecommunications router in the ATG systems.
With the Gogo C1, you will retain your current Gogo service plans, ensuring a seamless transition with no surprises in subscription or operational costs.
Gogo is also offering a $35K rebate to customers who install the C1. The promo form & PO must be submitted by December 31, 2025. Installation and activation must be completed by June 30, 2026.
